The Idol Hunt
Welcome to Ponderosa
When you are out of the game, you come here. This is where every hidden immunity idol you turn up around the site washes ashore. There are 8 of them carved into the furniture of Survivor Castaways. Find one and it lands in the journal below.
This mark
A carved head on a plinth, roughly the size of a full stop, cut into the page in hairline grey. It hides as furniture: the end of a rule, a speck of a card’s shadow, the dot on a letter. Run a cursor over one and it warms up. Click it and it lights.
0 of 8 idols found
Eight empty slots. They fill in the order of the journal below.

#1 One waits by the front door Home idol
It never had to hide very hard. Read the strip of type under the hero, the one that turns over at midnight, and look at what is standing past the last word of it. Hidden in plain sight by the front door, the way the best ones always are.
On the front page, tucked into the corner of the hero. Revisit Home →

#2 One is lost in the crowd Players idol
Seven hundred faces on that page and one of them is not a face. It keeps to the corner of the wall, low and to the right, wearing the same grey as a shadow. Buried in a crowd of seven hundred faces. Nobody thought to count the carvings.
On the players index, riding the rule beside the roster. Revisit Players →

#3 One sat through every season Seasons idol
Under the picture at the top of the seasons index, in the dark the picture throws. Forty-odd tribal councils and it has never once had to play an idol. Sat quietly through every season and somehow never got voted out.
On the seasons page, camouflaged along a section divider. Revisit Seasons →

#4 One is filed with the leaderboards Records idol
Go to the bottom of the records hub, to the last card in the stack, and look along its lower edge. It is holding one record that never got written down. Filed away with the leaderboards, keeping one record entirely to itself.
In the records hub, nested in a card’s drop-shadow. Revisit Records →

#5 One snuck into the arcade Games idol
Read the closing line of the games hub all the way to the end. The small thing sitting after the final full stop is not punctuation. Snuck into the arcade and never once had to play for its life.
On the games hub, tucked into a corner of the chrome. Revisit Games →

#6 One turns up every single day Daily idol
On the daily page, beside the heading that introduces the day’s set of boards. It has been standing there every morning and nobody has mentioned it. Showed up every single day and still went completely unnoticed.
On the Survivor Daily, hiding near the streak. Revisit Daily →

#7 One is off the grid Graph idol
Not in the map. Look at the words printed underneath it, and follow the very last sentence on the page until it runs out. Off the grid and unconnected, which is exactly how it survived.
On the graph page, tucked into a corner-rule beside the map. Revisit Graph →

#8 One is on every page you have already opened Footer idol
The credit line at the very bottom of the site. A word down there has quietly lost its dot, and something else has taken the job. The last one out, waiting at Ponderosa with the rest of the jury.
In the site footer, standing in as the dot on an ‘i’. Revisit Footer →
