Survivor Tilt Maze
Tilt the octagon board and roll three balls past the hole traps into the center chamber.
- Tilt: drag anywhere on the board; let go to level it.
- Watch out: holes swallow balls and send them back to the start.
- Win: steer all three balls into the center chamber.
About this puzzle
The balls start inside the bottom channel of the maze, and the gate openings in the rings never line up, so every run travels the channels past the hole traps. Small, early tilts beat big corrections: the balls carry momentum, and most drops happen when players whip the board back to catch a runaway. Park two balls in a safe corner and walk one through at a time. There is one hand-built board, the same for everyone, so times are comparable and challenge links pin your run for a friend to beat. Zero drops is a perfect run.
Maze and ball-guiding stages are one of Survivor's oldest challenge ingredients, from table mazes steered with ropes to handheld labyrinths raced at the final stretch of an immunity course. See the eras and seasons where dexterity stages decided immunity on the seasons index.

Frequently asked questions
How do you play the tilt maze?
Drag anywhere on the board to tilt it: the further you drag from where you pressed, the steeper the tilt, and letting go levels the board again. Balls roll with real physics. They start inside the bottom channel of the maze; steer all three through the gate openings in each octagon ring, into the center chamber. Rolling over a hole swallows the ball and returns it to the start.
Can I play with my phone as the controller?
On phones whose browser exposes motion without a permission prompt, tilting the phone just works once you start playing, like a real handheld labyrinth. Dragging always works everywhere, so you can steer by touch on any device.
Is every maze the same?
Yes. There is one hand-built board, identical for everyone, so times are comparable across every player. Challenge links pin your time on it so a friend can race the exact same run.
What counts as a perfect run?
Zero drops: all three balls reach the center without a single one falling into a hole. Your time and drop count are both tracked, and your best run is saved on your device.
Where does this challenge come from?
Ball mazes and tilt labyrinths are a long-running Survivor tradition: dexterity stages where a castaway guides a ball through a maze while racing the field. This one is modeled on the handheld octagonal style of maze rather than any single episode prop.
