Survivor: Worlds Apart features eighteen new contestants divided into three tribes based on their social backgrounds—White Collar, Blue Collar, and No Collar—as they compete in Nicaragua for the title of Sole Survivor.

Day one split the cast into three tribes: Escameca, Masaya, and Nagarote. Everyone here was new to the game, and four of them would go on to play again.
