Biography

Malcolm Freberg was a charismatic, athletic fan favorite whose fearless play made him a star across three seasons. Debuting on Survivor: Philippines (Season 25), he nearly reached the end, then returned for Survivor: Caramoan (Season 26), where a famous idol play, whispering to save himself and his allies, produced one of the era's most electric Tribal Councils. He later competed on Survivor: Game Changers (Season 34).

Blending challenge prowess, strategic aggression and easy likability, Malcolm became the kind of go-for-broke player fans adored watching.

Though the win eluded him, Malcolm Freberg remains one of the most popular competitors of Survivor's early-2010s golden run, a bold, all-gas-no-brakes threat whose big moves defined his seasons.

Claim to fame: In college, I helped to organize and run a program that paired varsity athletes with underprivileged children in a free-to-join sports league. It still exists today.
Hobbies: Exercising, writing/reading and partying.
Pet peeves: Dumb people.
Castaway they say they are most like: I think I will play most like Russell. You can control and rule with an iron first. You just have to be clever enough for them to thank you for it in the end. I'll run the show from Day 1 until I'm handed an oversized check with my name on it.
Why they wanted to play: I've been watching Survivor since I was 12 years old. Some kids grow up watching baseball on TV and dream of getting their chance to play in the big leagues. I grew up watching and dreaming about playing Survivor.
