Biography

Aubry Bracco is the winner of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, completing a ten-year arc from celebrated runner-up to Sole Survivor. On Survivor: Kaoh Rong (Season 32), she overcame a rocky start and helped steer much of the strategy, but lost the final vote to Michele Fitzgerald.

Aubry returned for Survivor: Game Changers (Season 34) and Survivor: Edge of Extinction (Season 38) before joining the 24-player all-returnee cast of Season 50. She reached the Final Three with Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter and won 8-3-0 after the jury votes were read live, claiming the season's $2 million prize.

Aubry's fourth appearance transformed her legacy: no longer one of the best-known players never to win, she is Survivor's fiftieth champion and the winner of the largest returning-player cast in the U.S. series.

Claim to fame: My name (it means "leader of the elves") and the way I pursued my education with my own style. I convinced my advisors at Brown University to let me write a children's book about a manatee instead of a 50-page thesis and went on to graduate with honors.
Hobbies: Crayon art, running, meeting locals in new places and astrology.
Pet peeves: People who are not self-aware, don't know how to listen actively or give fake compliments. Close second: scented things covering bad smells.
Castaway they say they are most like: Love child of Sophie and Cochran. Hair of Shambo.
Why they wanted to play: I love Survivor. Since I was 15, I've watched. As complicated as the game is, there's something so simple, authentic and raw. I have deep respect for the timelessness and evolution of the game.
