The eighteenth season of the series features sixteen new castaways divided into the Jalapao and Timbira tribes competing in the Highlands of Brazil, notable for the introduction of 'The Dragon Slayer' Coach Wade and a cross-tribal alliance formed on Exile Island.

Day one split the cast into two tribes: Jalapao and Timbira. Everyone here was new to the game, and four of them would go on to play again.
