Biography

Terry Deitz, a former Navy fighter pilot, delivered one of the most heroic individual runs in Survivor history on Survivor: Panama - Exile Island (Season 12). Isolated on the wrong side of the numbers after the merge, Terry found a hidden immunity idol and then won immunity challenge after immunity challenge, single-handedly keeping himself alive week after week.

His do-or-die dominance ultimately fell just short of the win, but it earned him lasting respect and a return on Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance (Season 31). Few players have carried themselves so completely on individual grit.

Terry Deitz remains a fan-favorite example of the lone-wolf competitor, the pilot who refused to lose an immunity challenge when losing one meant going home.
