Biography

Adam Klein won Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X (Season 33) in one of the most emotional finales in show history. A lifelong superfan playing while his mother battled cancer, Adam scrapped and hustled through the game, and his heartfelt final Tribal Council story, revealing he'd been playing for her, helped carry him to the title. His mother passed away shortly after he returned home.

His victory, part strategic grind, part deeply human journey, resonated far beyond the usual Survivor win. He returned for the all-winners Survivor: Winners at War (Season 40).

Determined, knowledgeable and profoundly motivated, Adam Klein is remembered as a champion whose story gave his win rare emotional weight, a superfan whose dream came true against a painful real-life backdrop.

Claim to fame
As a volunteer, I chaired a Relay For Life event that raised over $135,000 for cancer research and grew in size from about 10 youth participants to over 500. If any of that money helps save my mom's life, then it is, by far, my most important accomplishment.

Inspiration
My mom. She is surviving lung cancer and has survivorship in her blood [because] her mom survived Auschwitz. She is incredibly physically fit and otherwise healthy. She can tear up the dance floor—that's where I get my moves!—and she's my best friend and supporter.

Spencer Bledsoe. We are both wise beyond our years, can easily play up to the egos of older and stronger players, are strategic thinkers, and are widely underestimated in the game. I also relate to the never-say-die nature and social finesse of Hayden Moss.
