Biography

Mike White brought a screenwriter's eye to Survivor: David vs. Goliath (Season 37), and it nearly won him the game. The acclaimed writer-director, later the creator of The White Lotus, played a savvy, understated strategic game and reached the Final Three, finishing runner-up to Nick Wilson.

White returned for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans, his second season as a player. He was voted out fourth and placed twentieth, but remained part of the milestone season's unusually deep cast of returnees.

Mike White is one of Survivor's most notable entertainment-industry competitors, a runner-up whose sharp first game and subsequent success as an award-winning creator make his David vs. Goliath run especially memorable.

My primary motivation is playing the game. I've always, always wanted to play and see how I would do. Secondary is the absurd challenge of it all.
