Biography

Susan Hawk, the plain-spoken truck driver from Wisconsin, is the author of the most famous speech in Survivor history. A member of the original Tagi alliance in Survivor: Borneo (Season 1), she delivered a scorching final Tribal Council address comparing finalists Richard Hatch and Kelly Wiglesworth to a "snake" and a "rat," siding with the snake and helping hand Hatch the first million-dollar prize.

Hawk returned for Survivor: All-Stars (Season 8), where an uncomfortable incident led to one of the show's most memorable voluntary exits, cementing her reputation as one of the franchise's most unfiltered personalities.

Blunt, funny and fiercely honest, Susan Hawk helped define what a Survivor jury speech could be. Decades later, "snakes and rats" is still quoted whenever a bitter jury takes the stand.
